Health Benefits Planning

Health Care Estimator

You can reduce your out-of-pocket health care expenses by paying for them with before-tax dollars that you contribute to a Health Care Spending Account. If you choose to contribute to the Health Care account, the following calculator helps you determine how much to set aside. You can contribute from $50 to $5,000 a year. Important considerations:

Eligible Expenses: Deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, many uninsured expenses, expenses above plan benefit limits, expenses above Reasonable and Customary charges.

Ineligible Expenses: Most cosmetic procedures, health care premiums, any expense reimbursed by any other group plan, etc. For more information on the Health Care Reimbursement Account, see the Reimbursement Account section of Benefit Details.

Note: Expenses incurred by a same-sex domestic partner/civil union are not eligible for reimbursement.

This estimator uses 2007 tax information.
