Your Short Term Disability Benefits Program
The Short Term Disability Benefits Program offers pay replacement when a non-work-related injury or disability keeps you out of work. You are eligible for pay benefits as of your hire date.
PSEG pays the full cost of coverage. If you are not eligible for short term disability coverage, State Plan Rate benefits may replace 2/3 of your average weekly wage, up to a maximum, which is set annually. State Plan Rate benefits also are payable when pay benefits expire, but they cannot exceed a combined 26-week period.
Keep in mind that since short term disability benefits may not replace your full pay, you may need other financial resources in the event of a disability.
