Step 1Apply for Retirement
Call a Benefits Express representative to find out about your benefits in retirement.
Take your first step toward retirement by calling 1-800-571-0400 and following the voice recognition prompts to speak with a Benefits Express representative to find out what happens to your benefits after you retire.
You will either be connected to a Retirement Specialist if one is available, or you will need to set up an appointment. The Retirement Specialist will walk you through the retirement process so you know what to expect and what steps you need to take.
To allow your work location and the Business Center ample time to prepare for your retirement, you should notify your supervisor and/or manager approximately three months prior to the date you wish to retire. For example, if you plan to retire on May 20th, you should notify your supervisor and/or manager about your intention to retire toward the end of February.
Benefits Express cannot run your pension calculations until after they have received a final paycheck indicator from PSEG (approximately 2-3 weeks after your last day of active employment with the Company).
