How will I know if I’m eligible to participate?
If you have or are diagnosed with a certain condition, you’ll be invited to participate in the program by Optimal Health specialists. Optimal Health determines your eligibility through medical and prescription drug claims, which are used by Optimal Health solely for the purpose of making this program available to you. PSEG will not and cannot know who is eligible for this program. Your participation is optional and strictly confidential. But why wouldn’t you participate in a program that is designed to improve your health and the quality of your life.
If you are contacted by Optimal Health, we strongly encourage you to participate in the program and make an effort to improve your health condition. As a participant, you’ll have access to the following services:
- Regular telephone contact from a Care Team professional – During your participation in the program, a Care Team professional will help review your overall health status and treatment plan; discuss your concerns and questions with you; and suggest ways to improve your health, such as adopting healthier lifestyles.
- Toll-free telephone support – You can call a Care Team professional anytime, 24 hours a day, Monday-Saturday 1-866-604-7060.
- Mail reminders – From time to time, you may receive information about recommended tests or exams based on your condition. You can discuss that information with your doctor.
- Health guides and tools – Throughout the year, you’ll receive valuable educational materials to help manage your health. This information will tell you more about your condition, explain medical exams and reports, help you keep track of your medications, and make it easier for you to create a health management plan.
What is Optimal Health?
Optimal Health is a program that PSEG has made available to its employees and their family members to help manage certain condition and prevent them from getting worse. The program is a collaboration between Medco Health Solutions and Healthways, Inc., one of the nation’s largest and most experienced disease management companies, providing services to nearly 2 million people across the U.S.
Why is PSEG offering this program?
It’s simple: Your health matters to us. The program has been tailored to help address the major health concerns of our employees and their family members. We want to improve our employees’ health and lessen the impact of the serious health conditions they are facing.
