Exercise Reimbursement Program
Regular physical activity has been shown to help individuals reduce health risks associated with disease. Associated risks that can be positively affected by regular exercise include, but are not limited to: decreased excess body weight, decreased blood pressure, improved cholesterol profile, reduced stress, improved cardiovascular function, improved muscular strength, increased flexibility, and improved balance and coordination.

The Exercise Reimbursement Program is available to permanent full-time, active PSEG employees. (Spouses, family members, and retirees are not eligible for the reimbursement.)
Employees can join any fitness facility based on the following criteria:
- Offers programming that addresses 2 of the 3 listed modes of exercise:
- Cardiovascular
- Strength
- Flexibility (with these criteria, facilities such as Curves, Martial Arts Facilities, and Yoga and Pilates studios will be honored.)
- Facility must be staffed at all times.
- Facility has safety procedures and guidelines in place.
Discount fitness networks and special offers may also be available through your medical plan. Refer to your individual plan for more details.

Through your dental and medical plans, as well as the VIP Discount Network you may be eligible to receive discounts off fitness center memberships. Refer to the links below to see if you can save yourself some money when joining a fitness center.

NBU & General Office Employees
Employees at GO & NBU are able to participate in both the onsite facilities and the Exercise Reimbursement Program. Please note that membership dues paid for the onsite CHAMP fitness centers and exercise sessions completed at the CHAMP fitness centers are not eligible for this reimbursement.
In order to qualify for the reimbursement, employees must complete and submit all three required forms.
- PSEG Exercise Reimbursement Application
- Copy of Club Contract/Payment information—Participant must provide a copy of their Club Contract and/or billing information for cost verification. The reimbursement is applied to membership fees only. Enrollment fees are not reimbursement.
- Exercise Session Documentation—Participant must provide written documentation of completed exercise sessions. Acceptable forms of documentation include:
- Computer printout from Fitness Center.
- Letter on Fitness Facility stationery verifying sessions.
- Exercise Tracker (must include dates) (Microsoft® Word™ Document).
- Exercise Tracker (must include dates) (Microsoft® Excel ™ Document).
Reimbursement may be submitted only one time per calendar year and may be submitted once the maximum number of sessions has been reached in that calendar year! The reimbursement amount will be based on the number of completed exercise sessions from January 1—December 31.
- 25-49 documented for a reimbursement of $75
- 50-74 documented for a reimbursement of $150
- 75-99 documented for a reimbursement of $225
- 100+ documented for a reimbursement $300
The maximum annual reimbursement is $300. However, the reimbursement is not to exceed the total annual cost of the facility.
Reimbursement applications with missing or incomplete paperwork will not be processed and will be returned to the employee with a request for the missing paperwork.
